The Power of Presence: Insider Tips for Making Your Conference Booth Investor-Friendly

Exhibiting at industry and investor conferences comes with a significant price tag, but it's crucial for presenting your company in the best light. A booth is an investment that requires supplemental materials in order to maximize its value. We asked our managing partners about the small details that make a big impact on impressing:

  1. Materials: It used to be common practice to have printed copies of your presentation available for investors. Nowadays, it’s simply outdated. A postcard with the most salient details of your investment thesis and a QR code linking to your company’s presentation is not only more practical, but also a small detail ESG-minded investors will notice.

  2. Space: If you have room at your booth, bring a few chairs and a coffee table to create a space to sit and chat with potential investors, as this undoubtedly encourages more productive conversations. Even if there isn’t room, rent a conference room nearby or host a cocktail party to talk more intimately with investors and peers. Initial brief exchanges at the display table should lead to more extensive discussions, where investors ultimately reach a tipping point on interest.

  3. Team: Your IR marketing team is your best resource to ensure on-brand collateral and swag. It's crucial to have postcards and other supplementary materials aligned with large banners in bold, primary colors for optimal visibility and presence.
